Turning the knob feels smooth and lets me dial in just the right resistance for testing dimmer-style circuits. The 0-200 Ohm range covers most of what I need for small LED projects.

I turned the knob expecting a noisy jump in resistance but it sweeps smooth all the way from 0 to 200 Ohms. My kids use it to dim the LED strip in their room and it hasn't gotten warm or scratchy after a month of constant twisting.
